Thanksgiving is all about good food and great company. Having good food with your family and friends while making up for the lost time is always an amazing feeling. But for some NASCAR drivers, the season of festivities seems to have brought new sets of dilemmas to the table.
Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain is a huge fan of festivities. And enjoy spending this time unwinding and experiencing culinary delights. But he is also a man who is known to have a very specific taste in food and hates deviating from it. Therefore, when Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell offered a hot take on the Thanksgiving menu, Chastain seemed to disagree with him.
The Thanksgiving Conversation.
In an old video from NBC, we saw some of the most prominent NASCAR drivers coming together to talk about Thanksgiving and their experience around it. According to Ross Chastain, “Thanksgiving is a great day. I’ve never found a bad one.“ this initiated a conversation surrounding some of the best dishes these drivers had.
Joey Logano was clear and straightforward and said that cranberry sauce was his favorite dish during the festivities. Subsequently, Chase Elliot looked confused and bland and confessed that he was not a huge foodie.
What started a whole new row was Christopher Bell’s strong opinion regarding Thanksgiving dinner. He started listing all the dishes that he hates and why. This irked Chastain so much so that he came up with a crude yet witty answer saying, “No. They’re too picky. I love food”. This made everyone laugh and it showed Chastain’s blunt personality that he rarely tries hiding.
