Ever since Christiano Ronaldo started playing for the Saudi League, the league has shown some exponential growth. Sports analysts believe that the Saudi league has the potential to become one of the biggest leagues in the soccer world. As a result, in the next five years, Saudi teams might acquire some big names. It seems that we are already in that time.
Saudi teams are not only acquiring players, but they are also acquiring renowned coaches. According to recent sources, Jose Mourinho is all set to make his debut in coaching in the Saudi league pretty soon. Even though the news is not confirmed, the general air around the rumor suggests that it might manifest into reality.
The Awaited Reuninon
As soon as the news broke, fans went into a frenzy mode. For months, soccer fans have dreamed of the magical reunion between Mourinho and his best protege Christiano Ronaldo. Howevevr, Mourinho has expressed his wish to be a part of the league but not AL Nassr specifically.
Mourinho’s move made such big waves in the soccer community that it became a topic of conversation on ESPN’s The Gab & Juls Show. Over there, the show’s co-host, Julien Laurens, dished out his views claiming, “I mean, him in Saudi, I think it’s pretty obvious that it will happen at some point and I even can tell you that it will happen even quicker than Jose himself says. He could be there tomorrow—not tomorrow exactly, but at the end of the season.”
This might prove to be a double-edged sword for Ronaldo and his company. If Al Nassr acquires Mourinho, then it is a different thing altogether. But if some other team acquires Mourinho, then things can be challenging.
