Khazmat Chimaev and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team have been getting into clashes for a while now. This continued until Islam Makhachev became the rightful victor of the lightweight division in the UFC 280.
After winning, Khabib went on to issue a statement claiming that all the fighting in the camp was over and asking for a truce instead.
The Uneasy Truce
But does that mean things are fine between the fighters? Well, that is far from the truth. Now, Chimaev and Makhachev both consist in the same pay-per-view category.
Therefore, it was inevitable that both the fighters would clash heads. Fans were anticipating news about the two fighters duking it out outside the Octagon. But fans, instead were welcoming of a surprising sight.
Now, it is no mystery that both Makhachev and Chimaev are a huge part of UFC 294. While the former is said to fight the main event, the latter will helm the co-main.
Clearly, everyone is excited about both the fighters lighting up the UFC 294. But what is setting the UFC world on fire is the sudden meet of both the fighters.
Keeping aside their previous problems, the two fighters decided to shake hands and give each other a warm greeting. This wholesome moment was captured by everyone present.
The two fighters were walking with their camps and even briefly greeted each other to proceed on with their day. It seemed that the peace brokered by Khabib around a year ago is still intact and holds true.
