After a major knee injury that could possibly prove devastating, Nick Chubb’s old running buddy has come to visit him in Cleveland.
Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt go a while back. The stories of their bond are not unknown at all. They both shared a lot together, and therefore, the bond between them has grown over the years.
So, it is only natural that Kareem would visit Chubb after major ligament damage. While some believe that Hunt may be brought in to see if he fits the team in Nick’s absence. However, there is no confirmed report that could substantiate the claim.
The Injury & Replacement
Post the injury, Browns’ head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Chubb will have to sit the rest of the season. He also confirmed that the officials are looking at Jerome Ford as a replacement for Nick Chubb.
In the interview, Stefanski confirmed, “You just don’t do that. Great players in the league, you look around, they go out. It’s always not one person that replaces a player of his caliber. So everybody’s got to do a little bit more, a little bit more everywhere. But we’ll look at options there in terms of who we bring in.”
Therefore, it is confirmed that Chubb is out for the season.
Playing such an integral part of the Browns’ offensive identity, the whole team will sorely miss Chubb, according to the head coach.
