Harvick got a standing ovation from every racer on the circuit that day. This showed the kind of impact Harvick had on other drivers. The farewell also saw his kids expressing their love for him and the kind of father he had been. Harvick has rarely shown his emotional side to the public, but all this was enough to make Harvick cry.
Harvick’s breaking into the racing scene has been nothing short of dramatic. Back in 2001, 26-year-old Harvick was thrust to replace the legendary driver, Dale Earnhardt, in the Cup Series. The reason behind this was the untimely death of the racer in the first race of the season.
Since then, Harvick has not looked back at all. And today, Harvick is seen as one of the greatest drivers on the NASCAR roster.

The retired legend is now 47 years old. But if you look at his background, he does not come from an extensive racing background.
