Maria Sanchez is on a meteoric rise. She just bagged one of the highest-paying contracts of NWSL. The contract we are talking about was offered to the Mexican star by none other than Houston Dash. While chatting with ESPN’s Sebastian Salazar, she revealed what is her state of mind and what she is currently thinking. Sanchez revealed, “Very happy to be in Houston, very happy to extend my contract there, and very excited for what’s to come”.

Subsequently, when Sebastian asked about the implications of securing this contract, she replied, “It’s very exciting. I know that women’s soccer is growing and probably within the next few days or weeks, somebody else is going to break another record so to me I honestly just love being able to represent Mexican women’s soccer and break those boundaries.” Therefore, Maria is not only happy for herself but also wants other Mexican females to follow suit.
Sanchez just secured an extension on her Houston Dash contract worth $1.5 million dollars. This is even higher than what Trinity Rodman secured for herself. Trinity was 2022’s highest-paid player with 1.1 million dollars. But that crown has been replaced, and Sanchez is the highest-paid athlete is the NWSL.
