The fourth and final day of the Horizon Irish Open, held at the K-Club-Ryder Course, was filled with drama. The golf world saw an unexpected rise of Vincent Norrman as he whizzed past everyone to win the competition and take his cut of the $6 million prize purse.
What surprised fans was the kind of professionals he was pitted against, but he still came out triumphant.
Going against golfing legends like the crowd favorite Rory Mcllroy or Shane Lowry on their home turf was not an easy task.
But Norrman managed to do just that. After achieving the impossible, when asked about the whole experience, the victor replied in the sweetest way possible.
Fanboy-ing Done Right
In a post-game interview, the 25-year-old golf champion discussed about the experience. Norman was quick to respond as he said that it was amazing to compete against the duo.
Following this, the young golfer added, “To beat them is even cooler.” This was probably one of the sweetest and most badass fanboy moments of all time.
After expressing his gratitude for being able to go against two of the biggest legends of the golfing world, Vincent turned his attention towards the audience.
The Swedish Golfer went ahead and said that the crowd was ‘some of the best crowds’ he has ever played for.
Clearly, the young golfer was going through a whole range of emotions as he not only went against his heroes but came out victorious as well. Moreover, this was the second major win for the young golfer.
Earlier to this victory, Vincent also won the PGA Tour. As a result, fans are claiming Vincent to be one of the newest phenomena in the Golfing world who is taking the industry by storm.
