Manchester City has plenty of reasons to celebrate. However, Pep Guardiola is not without his own set of worries. For the first time in history, Pep Guardiola managed to lead his boys to the finals of the Club World Cup. City managed to clinch a victory with a 4-0 scoreboard. But the match did not come without its cost. In fact, City star Rodri might have sustained some injury and is currently undergoing medical assessment.
This is surely sad news for Pep, even though he is the only coach with the most Club World Cup titles to his name, surpassing Ancelotti. Losing Rodri could prove highly challenging for the City as he is one of the driving forces behind the team’s success.
Cost Of Success
Even though Manchester City is currently riding the waves of success by winning the finals of the Club World Cup. However, midfielder Rodri has again gone down with a knee injury. An official report was published that read, “Man City midfielder Rodri has gone back down with the knee injury sustained during the World Cup final. He left the pitch and more will follow from Man City medical staff.”
This could mean trouble for Man City as he is a key player of the middle order. In fact, he is so seminal that earlier, he secured the Player of the Tournament. There is no word about the kind of injury sustained by Rodri. But sources suggest that it is bad enough to put the player on ice for a while.
