In a recent matchup with a top-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves team, Embiid just managed to deliver a season-high score of 51 points and 12 rebounds. This has made Embiid worthy to be alongside some of the most talented players in NBA History.

Embiid’s performance against the Wolves marks one of the biggest milestones of his career. This matchup marked the 12th game, where he managed to score more than 30 points and rebounded 10 or more shots. During a post-game interview, Embiid was asked about his feelings. Remarkably, the baller replied, “Nothing, we’re winning.”
Such a dry response from the legend left the press conference reeling. However, he went on to explain his response in detail. He said that individual scores mean very little to him if the scores do not add to the overall betterment of the team.
This is one of the most sportsman-like comments that any NBA player has ever made. For Embiid, individual stats mean nothing. In fact, it can be detrimental when a player is only concerned about his open stat and does not care about the team as a whole.
