The Canadian Grand Pix saw a fantastic win from Max Verstappen on Sunday. It was the 100th win, made a milestone for Red Bull, and moved forward as a leading contender in the Formula One championship.
He joined the acclaimed company Ayrton Senna after getting the 41st win of his impressionable career. He was in the lead from the beginning till the end and added this win to his record.
Fernando Alonso won second place for Aston Martin. Lewis Hamilton, the World Champion from Britain, got third place for Mercedes. The fourth position was secured for Ferraris by Charles Leclerc, and the fifth position by Carlos Sainz.
This season, Red Bull has been dominating. This was the fourth consecutive win and sixth win of the campaign by Verstappen. Christian Horner gave a bold statement and warned that they have the capability to win every grand prix of this season.
It was a difficult day for the Mexican team, as it was their third race where they couldn’t get on the podium. Perez gave a bad performance but got a little better in the end and finished in sixth position and secured the bonus point.
He is at 69 points, just after Verstappen with 195 points. Mercedes shows a good strategy as they are very close to Red Bulls. This is the second consecutive time Hamilton got up on the podium.
Aston Martin Garage team failed to give the double podium result, and Lance Stroll completed the race in the ninth position.
On the Island circuit, Verstappen won the pole two years in a row, and Alex Albon won the honor for the driver of the day.
