For a man who is popularly known as ‘The Korean Zombie,’ Chan Sung Jung is fairly adored by many. And the man who matches his same vibe is Max Holloway.
The bromance between the two is something that the MMA fans are just gushing over at the moment. According to several MMA news outlets, these two have solidified their positions as two of the most positive influences on the sport itself.
Final Gesture Of Respect
In the last match between Zombie and Holloway, things went quite south for the latter. And it was Holloway’s gesture towards Zombie that left fans as well as Zombie absolutely smitten by the fighter.
In a recent showdown at UFC Singapore, Zombie faced a defeat by KO at the hands of Max Holloway. Soon after the fight, Zombie announced his retirement, leaving an illustrious career behind.
After the fight, as per tradition, Jung left his retirement gloves in the cage. Even though he wanted to take the glove with him, after a fan took one of his gloves, Jung threw another one at the crowd.
In a recent video, Jung expressed his regret on parting from his retirement gloves. In fact, he said that having his gloves from his last fight with him would have been nice.
This pulled at the heartstrings of the fans and his final opponent. In a show of respect, Max gave his gloves to Jung. This was one of the most heartwarming moments of UFC. Moreover, Jung, upon receiving such a memorable present from his final opponent, was absolutely delighted.
In an attempt to return Max’s kindness, Jung also donated around $20,000 to The Maui Food Bank, an organization fighting to provide relief to the victims of the Hawaiian wildfires.
