Apart from being an absolute ace in her realm, she also makes headlines for being best buddies with Tennis prodigy and current World No.1 Iga Swiatek.
Like Vonn, this 21-year-old tennis prodigy has managed to make a name for herself in the sport of tennis. But even the greatest of greats face some slump during their journey. And something similar happened just a few months back.
After losing at the US Open, Swiatek lost her current standing momentarily. But once again, she managed to crawl back to the position of number 1 after a recent win. However, even during the most trying of times, Vonn has been a constant support for Swiatek.
Here’s What Happened!
In a recent social media post, Vonnhas stated her happiness to see her young friend get back her World No. 1 position. Through the toughest of times, both these females were seen supporting each other and being their biggest cheerleaders.
A few months back, when Swiatek lost her US Open along with her position, Vonn literally broke down and penned down a message for her friend.
Vonn was seen reposting a post that had a picture of Swiatek kissing her winning trophy, along with a caption that read, ‘Congrats @iga.swiatek!! Number 1.‘
The picture rightly states the emotion Swiatek must have been feeling after regaining her position. Swiatek clinched the victory over Jessica Pegula by 6-1 and 6-0, respectively, to win the WTA Finals on 6th November.
