Yesterday’s match was certainly underwhelming for the fans who thought their favorite Boys In The Blue would win. However, that was not the case, as the Australian front managed to be the better side. The match was filled with stellar performances on individual as well as team levels. Still, the Australian side managed to inch ahead with their tremendous bowling and impeccable batting.
Winning Of The Australian Front
According to the winning skipper, Pat Cummings, it was all that they wished for. The Australian captain revealed that the Australian side was mostly the first one to bat and was really hoping to chase in this game. As fate would have it, the Australian front got a chance to do that.
Pat Cummings and the company initially anticipated a steep target of 300. However, the bowling side managed to choke the Indian side at 240 runs. This was a modest target as most of the players in the Australian roster were proficient with batting. This gave the Australian side room to jimmy around with their batting order.
Bleeding Blue!
According to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, the results were not in their favor. However, it was not because the Indian side fell short. The first major hit to the Indian team was the breaking of KL Rahul and Virat’s partnership. According to Sharma, if the partnership had dished out at least 30 to 40 more runs on the board, they would have had the space to choke the Australian Batting side. The second hit was Travis Head getting comfortable in the nine yards. So, these two events culminated in India’s loss.
But, as cricketing fans, we must not lose hope and let the Beloved Boys in Blue come back with a vengeance. Till then, Bleed Blue!
