NASCAR drivers are finally getting their chance in the sun at last week’s annual NASCAR Awards in Nashville. However, not every driver is having the time of their lives. According to a source, a sharp discomfort in the right hand has gripped Denny Hamlin. The discomfort grew to the point that he was unable to raise his hand.
Last week, while several NASCAR drivers were having an absolute gala time at the annual NASCAR Awards, Denny Hamlin had to go under the knife. In a recent media stint, the No.11 driver confirmed that he had to undergo shoulder surgery. And this endangered Hamlin’s participation in the season opener at the Coliseum.
Bane Of Existence
While visiting the Dale Jr Download, Hamlin discussed a myriad of issues and factors. He even discussed the extent of a 43-year-old injury. This injury has been Hamlin’s bane of existence for the last 43 years. However, things seemed to worsen after the Las Vegas playoff. He discussed the challenges he faces on a day-to-day basis.
The build-up to Hamlin’s injury started three years ago when Hamlin injured his tendons in the shoulder. This opened a new Pandora’s box for the racer. Soon enough, even the most basic movements felt tedious.
While discussing the injury with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Hamlin said, “You ever try to wipe your a** with the other hand? I’m serious. That’s why I shook my head.”Such a statement left everyone in splits. Subsequently, Earnhardt replied, “The reason why he is talking about this is because he had a shoulder surgery. I mean, that just came out of nowhere. I just want people to know that we’re not going to spring into that conversation.”
