It is a known factor that the bodybuilding world is not an easy place to enter. In order to be a bodybuilder, you need to be consistent and follow a rigorous routine of diet and exercise. But not everyone talks enough about the importance of rest in between the rigorous regimen. One of the few names that have talked about the importance of breaks is Dorian Yates. Yates believed that rest is an integral part of a bodybuilder’s journey.
Walking on Yates’ path, CBum is now somebody who understands and quite publicly discusses the importance of proper breaks in between contests. This current and four-time Mr. Olympia title holder is somebody who enjoys his time in between contests so that he can maintain a semblance of balance.

In a recent podcast with his own coach, Hany Rambod, CBum was heard shedding light on several aspects of his life, which include not only his professional life but his personal life as well. In a very candid manner, CBum was heard talking about his downtime, saying, “I guess just separate from bodybuilding. You know me, I almost stopped training, or at least train differently, a lot lighter.”
When the host further questioned CBum about his favorite way to destress after a competition, CBum replied, “I just enjoy it with my family. I think spending time with my family, not talking about bodybuilding and competing all the time, just separating from it really helps me reset my life.” Therefore, CBum is definitely a man who has understood the assignment and maintains a healthy balance which really reflects in his terrific performance over the last couple of years.
Currently, CBum is preparing for his fifth Mr. Olympia title with Harry Rambod. With the rumors of CBum’s retirement going around, a lot of fans believe that CBum is probably going to stop after this title. But, due to the lack of any substantial evidence, the rumor is yet to be substantiated.
