Novak Djokovic might be reaching the last leg of his tennis supremacy, but he is still going strong. One of the biggest and best names in the business, Novak is one of those gifts that keeps on giving.
His footprints, along with those of Nadal and Federer, can be felt long before they leave the court. But for now, Djokovic is all about adding another feather to his cap.
The recent US Open ended, and the G.O.A.T added his 24th title to his kitty. Everyone agrees that Djokovic is the best out there. But everyone also agrees that he is nearing his 40s.
Hence, not everyone was sure that he would hold up with young players. And when he did school those young boys, it shocked everyone.
One such individual was Paul Annacone. Paul is a huge name in the tennis world and is famous for coaching the likes of Roger Federer and Pete Sampras.
In a recent interview, Paul applauded the 36-year-old Serb for his great showmanship and tennis skills.
Still Going Strong
Paul, like countless other tennis fans, believes that Djokovic is on an endless quest for greatness.
The way Djokovic held against younger and faster players left fans and officials mesmerized. Even an analytical individual like Paul Annacone went gaga over the player’s tenacity.
In a recent interview, Annacone said, “… I always try to put on my student hat and learn. And you see the result and you see what happened, but I always try to figure out why…” Subsequently, Annacone was also heard saying that, “When you look at the numbers of what Novak has done throughout his career, they continue to amaze me.” And he is not at all wrong.
