The 2023 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament just kicked off its first round in a spectacular fashion. 16 teams will play in the tournament. However, two teams are grabbing all the attention.
Recently, two participating dynamic forces collided on the court of the 2023 NCAA Women’s Volleyball. The first team to compete was the Georgia Tech, and the second was the Alabama’s Volleyball team.
A Major Win
As soon as the game advanced into the thick of things, Georgia Tech swept up Alabama with the cleanest sweep. This was a great moment for the Georgia Tech players as well as fans. In fact, fans are impressed because this is the first time Georgia Tech faced an opponent in the NCAA Tournament.
As soon as the team won their first match, the team’s social media handle shared a post celebrating the win. The post read, “TECH WINS!! The Jackets advance to the 2nd round with a four-set W!“
The primary driving force behind Georgia Tech’s amazing victory was none other than Tamara Otene. Tamara Alone secured 18 points in the match. With her exceptional performance, Tamara Otene managed to secure a hitting percentage. Some other outstanding players at Georgia Tech were Deandra Pierce and Afedo Maynard. Both of them secured a commendable 13 points and 11.5 points, respectively.
This win was significant as it was just not their first win. In fact, this win would help Georgia Tech to proceed to the next round. In the next round, GT will be facing the fierce Western Michigan volleyball team. What do you think will happen?
