Whenever you talk about breakthrough tennis players who managed to secure amazing wins with their athletic prowess Coco Gauff’s name comes up more than often. At the mere age of just 19 years old, Gauff has managed to make a name for herself as one of the finest tennis players of her generation by winning the Grand Slam at the US Open.
Since then, Guaff has been on a roll. She has been winning accolades left and right with her amazing tennis skills. But before she is on the journey to add another feather to her hat, Guaff receives some words of affirmation from Martina Navratilova.
The Wiz.
The 19-year-old already managed to make a name for herself as she did the unthinkable. Winning the Grand Slam Victory at the age of 19. Subsequently, she also managed to make her way to the WTA semi-finals. Seeing her dedication to her work, former tennis legend Martina Navratilova managed to spare some words of advice for the up-and-coming player.
In a press meeting, Navratilova said, “I would be surprised if she doesn’t win another major this year, and Wimbledon makes the most sense. I think it’s on grass because she’s better at the net than any of them and moves forward so well. That and her improved drop shot. I think you’ll see that across the board next year, the [Carlos] Alcaraz influence on the sport. For me, Coco should be the favorite on grass.”
The current trajectory of Gauff’ssucces has alluded that she is on a meteoric rise. It is not going to be a surprise if we see Gauff lifting the 2024 Wimbledon trophy. That might be a tall claim, but it is certainly not something that is totally impossible to achieve for someone like Gauff.
