The NBA is back! Well, fans can finally rejoice that after three months of hiatus, everyone’s favorite, the NBA, is back. October 5th marked the opening of the preseason game, where the Mavericks faced the Timberwolves. This match took place in the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi. The match marked the inception of the 2023-24 season and did it rightly so. Both the teams brought forth stellar performances and gave an electrifying match to the sports audience.
However, not everyone is having such a good time. It has been a while since the Knicks won the NBA. In fact, the early 1970s were the last time the Knicks provided anything substantial. Since then, it has mostly been misses and no hits. And this season looks just the same. This 6.5 billion dollar franchise is facing a crisis as it is about to lose out on its third All-Star.
Injury To Insult
At this point, this qualifies as an injury to insult. With only a few weeks left in the season beginning, the Knicks saw two major contributors, Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday, leave the team. And now, there is a buzz around the NBA community that Julius Randle might be the next one in line.
Jake Fischer first broke the news on KNICKS | THE STREETS ARE BUZZING. There Fischer talked about what happened in the league and the fix that the Knicks might find themselves again this season. Fischer quite bluntly said, “I am also starting to wonder what Julius Randle’s future is with this program.” Therefore, making things sound more grim and concerning for the Knicks.
If the rumor does come true, then this will put the Knicks in another fix, which will be a feat to come out of. Still, until the news is confirmed, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
