The NBA is a place of uncertainties and swaps. It is quite natural to see players making their way to other teams at their convenience, so why was Durant called out for his swap last season?
Fans widely claim that Kevin Durant’s move from Oklahoma City Thunder to Golden State Warriors after facing a loss at the hands of Stephen Curry and company was one of the weakest moves.
But according to an NBA Veteran, the situation seems a little more different, and Kevin Durant is somebody who always holds up his own end of the bargain.
Durant is currently one of the most accomplished players in the NBA. The 34-year-old pro is a two-time Champion and two-time Finals MVP.
Still, many disregard his greatness simply because he is somebody who switches teams. As a result, he has developed a reputation for cut and run.
Amin Elhassan On Kevin Durant!
In a recent episode of Oddball with Amin Elhassan and Charlotte Wilder, the former presented his perception of KD’s controversy. When the Slim Reaper claimed that he was not worthy enough to be the subject of a documentary, Amin replied, “You’re absolutely worthy of a documentary and then some.”
Not only that, but Amin also discussed the KD’s reputation in the community as somebody who takes the easy way out. To this, Amin said, “You have only demanded a trade one time in your career. People seem to forget that.” Therefore, there are people on KD’s side of the argument.
Even though KD has been delivering his best for a while now, people still seem to remember KD for his swap and nothing else. This saddens the veteran analyst Amin Elhassan, and this was quite apparent during this conversation.
