This blindsided players and fans alike. Several pro golfers took to social media to announce their displeasure about this merger.
However, Tiger Woods was missing from the names of all the athletes who showed their displeasure with the decision. But that changed last week when the veteran broke his silence.
Rory also shared that after this appointment, Woods now has a vote in everything that happens on the PGA Tour. Before the appointment, Woods had some influence over the board but no actual voting rights.
But it changed after this monumental appointment. The four-time major champion believes that Woods is a person who would bring positive changes for the players and take the tour to newer heights.
