As soon as the news of Taylor’s swap became public, the whole situation became a media circus, with many outlets claiming that Taylor had declared an ‘all-out war against his team.’
Taylor is currently approaching the final year of his rookie contract with Indianapolis. Therefore, it is understandable why he is looking forward to an extension.
After a conversation with Colts owner Jim Irsay, Taylor has cemented his decision to go forward with the swap.

When Irsay was questioned about the contract dispute, he said, “It was just a good conversation and, you know, hopeful going forward…We’re looking forward to a great season, hoping that Jonathan’s a big part of that, and I think we had a good conversation.”
However, Taylor’s version seemed different. Even though Tylor did not release an official as of yet. However, according to sources, Taylor has significantly shifted his focus and is looking forward to shifting his priorities elsewhere.
