Mike Tyson might have retired from boxing, but he is still one of the prominent voices of the sport.
Tyson is right now riding the waves with his podcast Hotboxin, where we see him have conversations with newer talents in the Boxing industry.
And this time, it was Terrence ‘Bud’ Crawford. Terrence Crawford has proven that he might be a better fighter than Errol Spence Jr., but Mike thinks that Errol might have an ace up his sleeve.
Mike Tyson’s Words, Not Ours…
According to Mike Tyson, Errol Spence Jr. could hold the water in the ring if he decides to bring the fight to Bud. His exact comments were, “I was thinking Errol’s best chance [at winning] was if he stayed on him for at least six rounds. Just bring it to him,” Tyson announced. “That’s his only strategy to be successful. Come on, you [Crawford], just start pitching [punches].”
Once Mike gave Crawford the floor to talk about his advantages against Errol, the former provided a bird’s-eye view, claiming, “I just think I’m all around a smarter fighter. My arms are a little longer than his, but he is a little taller that evens out. I think I counter better than him. My movement is better than him. I just think I’m a better fighter.”
This was a drastic shift from what Errol said about not watching any of Crawford’s matches completely, as he thought it was a waste of time.
Therefore, it shows how prepared Bud is for Errol. Nonetheless, strategies are one thing, and fighting is a different thing.
Therefore, no matter the speculation from fans or even experienced fighters like Tyson, the reality can be quite different. So, fans are eagerly waiting for the fight night, where the two fighters will duke it out.
