There is a reason why Messi is the GOAT when it comes to football. Messi, along with his old teammate Sergio Busquets, set the DRV PNk stadium on fire after joining the Inter Miami CF.
Coupled with an old Barca teammate, Messi scored his first goal since joining Miami in under 10 minutes. This put Messi’s team in a 1-0 lead in a match against Atlanta United.
Around the 22nd-minute mark, Mesi seized another goal opportunity. With the help of Robert Taylor, Messi was able to score his second goal in this match.
Later on, Taylor scored the final goal from the Miami side with the help of Argentine football wiz Messi. Therefore, Messi successfully established his arrival in American Major League Soccer with his performance on Tuesday.
Messi Substituted: Fans Leave The Stadium
After the match, when Busquets was asked about his and Messi’s game, he said, “So many years playing together, so it’s very easy to play with him.” Busquets also added, “I’m so happy to be by his side.”
Therefore, this indicates that Miami’s team synergy is optimal for great results.
Inter Miami CF manager Gerardo Martino said, “It was a good performance, and I’m pleased we were able to make our fans happy. A very good game, and we took another step in the right direction.”
This was Martino’s first game against his former team, Atlanta United. As a result, it is understandable why it was important for him as well.
When a journalist asked Martino about his thoughts on fans leaving after Messi’s substitution, he added, “I didn’t really notice. The type of player he is, Messi is a global star. Some fans might only be here to see him, but he would prefer if the fans would stay until the end to applaud the team, but I can also understand it.”
