The biggest tournament in world football is here. Thirty-two of the best national teams are coming head-to-head. 64 matches in 29 days. The last World Cup for two of the greatest footballers of this generation. This 2022 edition of the FIFA World Cup has a lot to offer to the fans.
However, the draw of the FIFA World Cup 2022 groups produced some interesting results.
The Best Team: Can You Name It?
Provided the strength of many squads, it is hard to choose the favorites this year, unlike the last few editions. Which team will be the last one standing? It could be France (again?), Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Netherlands, England, you name it.
Each one of these great teams has some serious squad depth that many fans, in fact, will bet on. Despite all the complexities regarding the location of the tournament, you can actually experience some truly memorable matches.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 Groups
Eight groups (A to H) of 4 teams will be set to take on each other. The top two teams in each of these World Cup 2022 Groups will reach the knockout stages. The knockout stages consist of the round of 16, the quarter-finals, and the semi-finals, followed by the final, which is set to happen on December 18.
Now, let’s take a dive into all eight groups to find out the probable winners and the teams to watch out for in each.
Group A
The hosts Qatar will be playing against Netherlands, Ecuador, and Senegal.
Probable Winner: Netherlands
The clear winner in this group is the Netherlands, thanks to its squad depth. It is one of the top best teams among all the others teams I the World Cup 2022 Groups. The Dutch were also unbeaten in their last 15 games.
Team To Watch Out For – Qatar
The other teams must be careful and not take Qatar loosely at all. The winners of the Asia cup can actually be a threat to the other three participants and have the experience of winning against many South American teams in the Gold Cup.

Group B
In this group, England takes on the USA, Wales, and Iran. Two good teams. Also, expect some exciting matches.
Probable Winner: England
Clearly, England is the winner of this group at least on paper. Despite its inconsistencies, England still has some game changers, which makes England a powerful force among the World Cup 2022 groups.
Teams To Watch Out For – USA And Wales
Winner of the CONCAF Gold Cup, the USA can be a formidable force. The team can really give England a run for its money. On the other hand, no one can write off Wales since it still has some experienced and key players like Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Ben Davies, and Joe Allen.
Group C
One of the most interesting of the major World Cup 2022 groups, this group will experience Argentina taking on Mexico, Poland, and Saudi Arabia. You can watch two greats, Lionel Messi of Argentina and Robert Lewandowski of Poland, play their last world cup.
Clear Winner: Argentina
One of the clear favorites to win the World Cup 2022. Being a title contender in every World Cup event, Argentina played in the 2014 finals under Lionel Messi and eventually lost to Germany. With an exceptionally strong squad by his side as well as a huge fan base, expect Lionel Messi to go all-in in his last World Cup.
Team To Watch Out For – Poland
Although not a strong team, it still has some experienced players that can change the course of any game. Additionally, Lewandowski still poses a massive threat in front of the goal.
Group D
Here, the reigning champions, France, will play against Australia, Denmark, and Tunisia.
Clear Winner: France
The Winners France has some immense squad depth and is surely one of the favorites among all the teams in the World Cup 2022 groups. Most of the players in the squad know how to win the World Cup. It has some seriously good players in every position, be it defense, midfield, or attack. Expect goals to rain with the in-form forwards like Mbappe, Benzema, and Griezmann. The star player Paul Pogba misses the World Cup due to an injury.
Team To Watch Out For: Denmark
Although never the favorite, Denmark, with a mixture of the young and the experienced, can pose a threat to any team. Don’t forget that, in the last two years, Denmark has defeated France twice.

Group E
Welcome to the Group of Death, as you can experience three really good teams taking on each other, viz. Spain, Germany, and Japan. Costa Rica lacks heat in comparison to the other three. Expect every match among these three to be nail-biting.
Probable Winner: Germany
The four-time World Cup winners always pose a threat to any team on the planet. Having a mixture of experience (Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos, Gundogan) and Talent (Kai Havertz, Serge Gnabry), Germany cannot be written off from the world cup at any stage.
Team To Watch Out For: Spain
Spain, the 2010 champion, can actually beat all the other teams in the group and can go to the top. Despite many inconsistencies, Spain always poses a threat to any team present among the ones in the World Cup 2022 groups. A good midfield, along with a young and talented attack, can take the team far.
Group F
Talented Belgium takes on experienced Croatia. Unfortunately, Canada and Morocco do not come close to these heavyweights.
Probable Winner: Belgium
Although they lost against Egypt in the warm-up game, Belgium is a dangerous threat to any team. Having an immensely talented squad, with star players like Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, Martinez, and many more, Belgium can book a spot in the knockout stage out of the World Cup 2022 groups.
Team To Watch Out For: Croatia
The 2018 World-Cup challengers only lost to France and can yet grab the attention of many. With one of the greatest midfielders on their side, Luka Modric, expect the team to create a lot of chances on the opposition box.
Group G
Expect an easy group with Brazil, one of the absolute favorites, taking on Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon.
Clear Winner: Brazil
A squad with a star player in every position on the field. Even the substitute bench is full of great players who are actually key for their respective clubs. From goalkeepers Alisson and Ederson to defenders Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Militao, and Danilo to midfielders like Casemiro, Fabinho, and Lucas Paqueta. The forward line is the most interesting consisting of Neymar Jr., Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Antony, Gabriel Jesus, and many more. Expect chance after chance to get created.
Team to Watch Out For: Switzerland
Equipped with some experienced players, this European team is still no match for Brazil. The fight for second place will be interesting between Switzerland and Serbia in the World Cup 2022 groups.

Group H
Another Group of Death, with the superpowers Portugal and Uruguay fighting for the first spot. Expect South Korea to shock everyone while Ghana remains the underdog.
Group Winners: Portugal vs. Uruguay
Portugal also can boast an extremely strong squad with in-form players. Surely the last World Cup of the 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, who is still considered the best player on the team. Although, without Cristiano Ronaldo, the strong Portugal team thrashed Nigeria 4-0 in the warm-up. Studded with star players everywhere – Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Joao Felix, Rafael Leao, and many more, Portugal is one of the major contenders for the World Cup.
On the other hand, Uruguay is always one of the major teams that break many hearts and turns many eyes at the knockout stages in every world cup. With a hugely experienced squad, expect Uruguay to give it all throughout the tournament.
Team To Watch Out For: South Korea
They are the greatest dark horse among all the teams in the World Cup 2022 groups. The side poses some interesting names, the biggest among which is Son-Heung Min. Although injured, he is still a threat to any opponent.
Final!!!
Although some of the biggest teams, like Italy, Nigeria, Egypt, Colombia, and some big names like Erling Haaland, and Mohammed Salah, are missing, still this edition of the World Cup can be one of the most memorable for fans. Until then, enjoy and stay tuned until the finals on December 18.
