At one point in time, the Philly Eagles were at the very top of their game. In fact, they seemed invincible to many. However, their recent defeat against the Seahawks has really catapulted them into the abyss. Currently, the Eagles are standing second in the NFC East Division and fifth in their respective conference.
Earlier, the team was holding a record of 10-1, but now the team holds a stat of 10-4. With three consecutive defeats, the team is really struggling to maintain its momentum. Earlier, the team was leading, but now it is trailing behind the Dallas Cowboys. Still, fans have not lost hope and expect the team to dominate the NFC East and their respective Conference.
Eagles In Trouble?
After losing against the Cowboys in week 14, the top spot was secured by the winning team. But Cowboy’s week-15 defeat against the Buffalo Bills facilitated the Eagles’ rise in the ranks. But after the recent loss, the Eagles are back where they started.
Currently, the Eagles have three games left. Two games against the Arizona Cardinals and one game with New York Giants. The Giants are in the third position in the NFC East. Therefore, fans are hopeful that their team might be able to score some victories back-to-back. However, things seem a tad bit dire at the moment.
In the same way, the Cowboys will be playing against Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions in their upcoming games. If the Eagles manage to win three games and Cowboy loses even one game, the Eagles will manage to be the divisional champion for the 13th time.
