After last season, Clippers fans were looking for some magic to allay their pain and humiliation. Surprisingly, LA Clippers fans found what they were looking for.
In a recent pre-season game against the Utah Jazz, superstars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard showed their worth. The duo matched their skills, managed to impress fans, and clinched a very important victory.
The duo put aside their respective prejudice to come together and perform for their team. However, this happened while Russel Westbrook was not present. Whose presence would have added more fuel to the fire?
The Comeback
From the very early minutes of the game, the Utah Jazz made efforts to break the LA’s defensive wall. This, however, prompted a proactive action from George. Pretty soon, it was observed that the Clippers managed to initiate their own counter-play due to George’s oversight.
And eventually, a left-handed dunk by Leonard managed to put the Clippers in a 4-2 lead. Subsequently, George also scored a 2-pointer after dismantling the Jazz’s defensive wall. And did so with utter smoothness.
One thing led to another, and George was just seen dominating the court with his tactical approach and phenomenal game-predicting ability. Fans are currently hopeful after seeing the duo in their element and are just hoping for a speedy return of Westbrook.
Overall, the Clippers vs Jazz match ended with a 50-43 scoreboard. And this has ignited a fire of hope in the hearts of Clippers fans.
Fans claim that if the team keeps performing like this in the season. It will finally have the chance to come out of the shadows and rewrite history in this 2023-24 NBA season.
However, some believe that fans should not cash cheques that they do not have and urge them to take it slow as it is just a pre-season match. Keep following our page for more sports-related content.
