Just Days before the start of the latest NBA Season, Nike unveiled their lineup for their 2023 Draft Class Signees. The announcement was made by none other than Victor Wmbanyama, The No.1 overall pick this season. Therefore, there is a lot riding on Victor’s shoulders. Fans are eager to see the magic of the young baller.
Nike, as of now, dominates the league. This means that out of all the players, at least 70% of the players wear the signature swoosh of Nike. According to a stat provided by Kix, Seven of the ten draft picks have signed a deal with Nike.
Rookie Class Of 2023
As of now, a total of 13 rookies have signed a deal with Nike. the names include No.2 pick Brandon Miller, the Thompson twins, Bilal Coulibaly, Anthony Black, Cason Wallace, Derek Lively II, Keyonte George, Olivier-Maxence, Jordan Hawkins, Julian Strawther, and Kobe Brown.
This shows the amount of marketability each of these players as well as Nike, has. As a footwear company, Nike has always been the organization that led the competition by a mile. Even though there are other competitors like Reebok, Puma, FILA, etc., they have tried entering the market but never managed to exert that amount or kind of influence.  As a result, for years, Nike has been one of the most profitable sports businesses.
Along with the current stats and the overall deal that Nike cracked, it has also made people realize that Nike as a brand is a giant and intends to grow larger. But for now, the Rookie class of 23 looks amazing, and fans are eagerly waiting to see them play.
