Fans have been buzzing with excitement ever since they found out that Connor McGregor is ready to make his return in UFC 300.
But one person seems more eager than the fans for the Notorious’ comeback. It is none other than McGregor’s alleged opponent. The two were confirmed to lock horns earlier as well. But the fight never materialized as McGregor failed to pass the eligibility test of the USADA testing pool.
But recently, McGregor re-initiated the process of entering the testing pool. Therefore, this sparked widespread speculation among fans who were looking forward to the long-awaited fight to happen.
On the other hand, Chandler shared similar updates on his social media, therefore affirming or rather confirming the possibility of the fight.
Smoke And Mirrors
However, do hold your horses. Even though fans got a whiff of the news that a possible fight between Chandler and McGregor is going to take place, nobody has confirmed the specifics of the fight.
In other words, fans don’t have any specific news about the time and whereabouts of the fight. All they have are some teasers of the fight that the fighters released themselves.
In a recent Instagram post, Connor released the news that he is attempting to re-enter the testing pool of USADA. If the news is true, then it will take at least six months before UFC will release its clearance.
Therefore, fans speculated that the fight might take place around April 2024 at the earliest. But as usual, these are just speculations, and the community will do well with some confirmed news at this point in time.
