Fans are currently on a roll as Hendrik Motorsport just unveiled the #24 car that William Byron is slated to drive in the upcoming 2024 season. The team and its long-time partner Axalta joined hands to unveil the new car in a dramatic unveiling of car No. 24 and its amazing paint scheme.
It has been years since the iconic Axalta flames made a return. Even though the organizers were stoked to share the new designs with the fans, some fans were not at all stoked, to say the least. Many fans supposedly reported that the theme of the car was a little too bland. Meanwhile, other fans were simply stoked to see the iconic red flames making a return.
The New Paint Schemes
Axalta and HMS has shared one of the longest business history in the whole of NASCAR. The journey started back in 1992 when Axalta partnered with HMS for Jeff Gordon. Three decades later, Axalta and HMS are still going strong.
On Monday, the team unveiled its newest livery as the iconic flames made a comeback for William Byron’s #24 car. The team released two exclusive paint schemes for two of its prized partners. Apart from Byron, the team is also the proud partner of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
While the Raptor’s paint scheme was well-received by many, the Axalta paint scheme was deemed bland by many. In fact, On fan even wrote, “The new raptor car looks good but the new axalta car just feels lazy like just plain white with some red flames. That’s the best you could come up with? Little disappointing.”
