Tennis as a sport is believed to have one of the best fandoms out there. It is always a treat to see the giants of the tennis world come together to showcase their amazing skills. And when those two players are current World No.1 and 2, the affair becomes more important. Something similar happened when two current greats, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, came together for a practice session for the upcoming Rolex Paris Masters, set to kick off on October 30th.
Several Good News And A Bad One
Both players have explicitly expressed their love and respect for one another on several occasions, and this practice matchup was no different. Both the players managed to surprise one another using their amazing tennis skills and respect. Both the players looked relaxed and in their element. In fact, Alcaraz was also seen keeping himself entertained with some racquet golfing amidst the practice.
The practice session beautifully managed to encapsulate the fact that both these men can be highly competitive yet remain absolutely respectful towards each other. In fact, this is what true sportsmanship looks like.
On the other side of the world, the former World No. 1, Pete Sampras, breaks the silence on the issues he is facing on the familial side of things. This Sunday, the tennis world was shocked as Sampras broke the news of his wife’s Ovarian cancer. Sampras broke the news and asked for everyone’s hopes and prayers. This shows the uncertainty of life and how it can turn sour at the drop of a hat.
