The fight for supremacy and on, and it is going to be bloody. The San Francisco 49ers are all set to face the Dallas Cowboys tonight. This match was one of the most awaited ones of this season.
And the reason why it was so hyped was because Dallas was seeking revenge for their past losses at the hands of the 49ers. This rivalry is ancient and dates back three decades, the early years of the 1990s.
But then again, the result was not something the Dallas Cowboys were expecting. Even though the 49ers and Cowboys are seen as two of the best teams. Sunday, things seemed different for the Cowboys.
The 49ers mostly dominated the Cowboys in the second half of the match and eventually ended up being the winner with a 42-10 scoreboard.
The Long Game
While both the teams gave it their all, Irrespective of the outcome. But one TD who caught everyone’s attention was Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey scored a massive touchdown in 14 games in a row.
Therefore, breaking the Hall Of Famer running back Emmit Smith’s record set in the 1995. It is a weird coincidence but dramatic nonetheless.
Another Player who was phenomenal and seminal to the 49er’s victory was George Kittle. Kittle’s play was absolutely amazing, with one of the finest catch-to-touchdown ratios.
All three catches by Kittle resulted in a touchdown. After the dust settled, Kittle’s final stat was three touchdowns, three catches, and 67 yards. It is an impressive number, to say the least.
As for the Cowboys, the defeat was painful. The Cowboys were not only defeated, but the injuries kept piling on.
The first one to go down was Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch. This put the Cowboys in a tight spot because the injury has made Esch’s return a big, mysterious question.
