Ons Jabeur has had a heartbreaking Wimbledon final. But now, she is seeking a new start. Last month was huge for Ons’ career. The Tunisian trailblazer lost her second Wimbledon final against Markéta Vondroušová.
However, things look different for the player, as she won the opening match of the US Open, held in the Cincinnati Masters.
The current World No.5 proved her dominance against Anhelina Kalinina and gained an early lead. However, when asked about her motivation, she hailed the iconic Venus Williams.
The 43 -year-old player recently went through a similar ordeal. However, after securing an incredible victory in the first round of the US Open, Venus Williams has bounced back and is looking for a good season at the US Open.

Ons Jabeur And Her Two Consecutive Defeats:
Facing two consecutive defeats in Wimbledon Finals can take a toll on any player. Still, Ons did not let the tough time win. In fact, she started her long journey to once again dominate the world of Tennis with her skills.
And it finally proved fruitful. After winning against Markéta Vondroušová, Ons Jabeur proved to everyone that she was not done yet.
After the match, Ons was seen elated and asked how did she come back from the 1-5. Ons said, “I saw Venus did it yesterday, coming back from 1-5. She’s an inspiration for me & for many players. I gotta thank her for the comeback today.” This shows the 28-year-old’s respect and adoration towards Venus Williams.
In fact, even after facing the Williams sisters in several matches throughout her career. Ons Jabeur still maintains that the duo is a significant source of inspiration for her career.
Maybe this is what sportsman spirit is all about. Nonetheless, the US Open is still a long way from over, and fans are waiting to see what Venus and Ons have in store for the remainder of the season.
