Denver Nuggets are all set to open their pre-season with a game against the Phoenix Suns. Now, the history between the two clubs goes way back. Denver managed to dispose of Phoenix in six games during the second round of last year’s postseason.
Therefore, there is some history between the two clubs, making the upcoming match all the more dramatic.
Summer Of New Faces
Even though Phoenix came up short repeatedly against Denver, that does not mean the former is just going to sit and watch.
This season, Phoenix had a busy summer on their hands, with the addition of three-time All-Star Bradley Beal to their core team to complete the Big 3 with Durant and Booker.
In fact, it was not only Beal but several other players were added to the core roster of the team as well. Therefore, in a way, this team is not the team Denver faced in the past.
Subsequently, the new gamble that the Phoenix was going for played off fairly well. The team already seems to be functioning with better synergy and coordination.
But that does not mean that the upcoming match will be easy by any means. Even though there have been newer additions to the roster. Still, three of the key contributors for the Suns, namely, Damion Lee, Jordan Goodwin, and Ish Wainright, will have to sit out.
Therefore, any speculation about the match is not at all accurate as they are not factoring in the acclimatization period. So, it is just a matter of time before we can actually know what will happen.
