FIFA Soccer World Cup will kick off in November 2022 this year in Qatar. According to recent reports, the Pakistani army has agreed and been approved to provide security for the FIFA world cup in Qatar this year.
The cabinet of Pakistan has approved a draft agreement allowing the government of the country to offer military troops for security. According to two ministers, a summary concerning the agreement was part of the cabinet’s agenda. The ministers also gave their approval for the agreement to be signed.
The summary says –
“Approval of the cabinet is solicited for signing of the agreement of Cooperation in the Field of Security Coverage for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 between the State of Qatar through the Ministry of Interior and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, by circulation.”
The foreign ministry and the Directorate General of the ISI had no objection to the proposal of the Joint Staff Headquarters; the cabinet approved the signing of the agreement.
The FIFA world cup will take place in Qatar in November and will be continuing until December this year. Qatar has requested Pakistan for security-related assistance during the FIFA world cup this year.
