Larry Wheels is a well-known individual in the bodybuilding and powerlifting community. This fitness influencer used the powers of the internet in order to gain widespread fame and fan following.
Moreover, after demonstrating near-impossible feats of human strength like the 585-pound one-arm deadlift or the 225-pound single-arm bench press, he has further proved his mettle and garnered widespread recognition.
Some other achievements of the fitness influencer include lifting 2171 lbs back in the year 2017 and doing a combined back squat, bench press, and deadlift with 2275 lbs back in 2018. After putting his body under such extreme feats of strength, things are not looking good for the 29-year-old bodybuilder/powerlifter.
A few days back, Wheels publicly announced that he was suffering from a life-threatening disease named rhabdomyolysis. In rhabdomyolysis, the damaged muscle tissue dumps its proteins and electrolytes in an individual bloodstream.
This can prove fatal for the liver and the kidneys. This left fans in a frenzied state, as everyone wanted Larry’s speedy recovery.

However, a second post allayed everyone’s fear when the weightlifter shared a story update. In the story update, the weightlifter was seen as happy and healthy.
Later on, the fitness influencer took a dip into his pool, therefore announcing to the fans that he is currently in a much better state than where he started his recovery.
According to Greg Doucette, an elite bodybuilding coach, things could have been way worse for the bodybuilders. Wheels is known to be in the habit of using performance-enhancement additives in his regimen.
This could interact with the chemicals in a way that could have had an extreme aftereffect. Moreover, Doucette thinks that Wheels should consider downsizing his muscles after this in order to remain healthy.
Now, it is up to Wheels to make the right decision for his career as well as his health. Both of which are equally important.
