Emotions are high as we reach the third week of the NFL. There just has been a staggering amount of football, but fans still want more.
Patrick Mahomes’ three touchdown passes and Taylor Swift’s performance after Kansas defeated Chicago have garnered all the attention. Meanwhile, one individual could not hide his disappointment and lashed out.
Is Fields’ Adequate?
The person who was unable to contain his disappointment was veteran sports analyst Pat McAfee, as he lashed out at Justin Fields for the latter’s performance on the field.
In a recent show hosted by Pat himself, Bears quarterback Fields quite openly talked about the poor performance of the team. Fields did not mince his words as he stated that their offensive line was just ‘awful.’
But Pat was not done with Fields just yet. Pat is somebody who was not looking for a collective blame game.
Instead, he went all out on Fields and criticized his abilities to be a good quarterback. McAffe’s scathing question, “What happened to Justin Fields?” seemed to have affected the QB, and this started a whole new conversation where the QB talked more about the ‘bigger picture’ than football.
In an attempt to provide answers to Pat’s question, Fields said something along the lines of, “I’m looking at it like the big picture, life in general to be honest with you. I think this past week has had me kind of look at it like what are the important things in life?”
While the answer might seem adequate for many fans. But I personally believe that it was a slick move by QB Fields to dodge the primary question. Keep following our page for more sports-related content.
