Terrence Crawford has managed to go from nothing to one of the biggest names in Boxing History. Still, he manages to be impressed by whatever he has achieved, and his candid social media post is reminiscent of that. 2023 has been a great year for Crawford. He finally fought and won against Errol Spence Jr. Following this, a super fight between him and Alvarez seems to be in the works as well. So, Crawford certainly has his hands full at the moment.
However, with success came money, and we all know what money brings. In a recent social media post, Crawford reflected on how his life transformed before and after he tasted success. Well, in a recent story shared on Instagram, Crawford was seen sitting in a car and revealed that money did not change him. The selfie was captioned saying, ‘Million dollars didn’t change me. I am still that same guy I was before.’
Big Cheques, Humble Mindset
This shows that Crawford managed to avoid the vices of money. He is one of the few who managed to hold on to their morals even after being at the very top of the world. But make no mistake, Crawford certainly knows the importance of money and would like to prioritize it more, but never at the expense of changing himself.
In a recent podcast with Mike Tyson, Crawford was quite blunt when he said, “I always wanted the money. You can keep the fame; you keep all that,” he further adds, “You ain’t gotta tell me I am greatest ever. I know I am great in my heart. So you ain’t gotta tell me nothing, just give me the cheque.” So, he is not the person who will discredit the value of a heavy cheque but will never let it transform him into something he is not. It is an amazing dynamic that adds a layer to the boxer’s identity. Keep following our page for more sports-related content and stories.
