Denny Hamlin is a man who dons several hats. If he is not burning up the tarmac, he can be seen discussing the issues that plague the industry in his podcast or leading his 23XI Racing team to victory.
But his most underrated and probably his best pastime activity is hitting holes on a golf course. Apart from his love for driving, he is also known as a man who loves being a golfer.
As a result, he has brought in something that could bring the best of both worlds. In a recent Instagram post, the NASCAR legend, in order to announce a new venture called the Golf Guys.
Partnering up with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., this tour would try to bring golf and track racing together in an interesting mix.
This would enable riders across the globe to have a go at a new sport. In fact, after Hamlin’s interest in golf developed. Many drivers followed suit.
One of them was Bubba Wallace of the 23XI racing. Bubba would often go on golfing tours with the owners, Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan.
A New Hat For Hamlin
Not many people know this. In fact, the very inception of 23XI Racing in fact started on a golf course. Now, that might be a far-fetched statement, but it was golf that brought two of the iconic athletes together.
The duo found common ground due to their love for golf. In fact, if not for golf, the two probably would have never come together to create one of the most successful racing crews in NASCAR.
Therefore, it is understandable why Hamlin would create a new format of golf where players from across the globe come and enjoy a new sport. Several sports media outlets called the idea revolutionary.
