UFC has grown exponentially over the last few years. Fans think this growth should be credited to Dana White. Dana White joined the organization back in 2011 and took the organization to newer heights.
The late 2000s was also the time when fans were surprised by Bellator MMA, which shared similarities with its more established counterpart, UFC. Still, the former signed up some new and significant talents at the time of its inception.
UFC Vs Bellator MMA:
Cut to the present: UFC and Bellator MMA stand shoulder to shoulder. Each has an equal and significant footing in the industry.
As a result, it is quite common for fans to see their favorite fighter changing organization. However, statistically, more fighters are moving to the bigger name UFC.
Over the last few years, we have seen names like Eddie Alvarez, Ryan Bader, Alexander Volkov, etc., move to UFC.
Recently, a rumor surfaced that Bellator MMA will lose a few more talents to UFC. One of the foremost names on that list is Michael Page. Page has been with Bellator for around 10 years now, during which he won several accolades.
Sources suggest that Page’s contract with Bellator is about to expire. Meanwhile, this might be the perfect chance for UFC to make an offer that Page cannot refuse.
Page is already a huge name in the MMA world. Michael Page usually fights in the Welterweight category. His current statistics is 21-2-0 (win-loss-draw), a formidable figure.
So, it is quite obvious why UFC wants to bring Page into their organization. This would also bring the fans with the athlete, therefore increasing the platform’s viewing numbers.
Hence, this is an amazing strategy by UFC to increase its viewership numbers and become the top name in the industry. So, only time will tell about Page’s next destination.
