Khris Middleton was one of the pillars of the Milwaukee Bucks back in the 2021 championship. He was the wall that stopped the unstoppable force of Giannis Antetokounmpo and saved his team. But in recent years, the baller’s performance has tanked a little.
Sports analysts believe that Khris’s growth has hit a wall in recent years. Even though he won All-Stars in 2019, 2020, and 2022, he was seen struggling against Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler. With Giannis out of the equation because of an injury, Heat and Middleton feel victim of Butler’s ruthless balling.
Memories Of Loss
This left a mark on Middleton’s psyche. In a recent episode of The Old Man & the Three, the host JJ Reddick sat with Khris Middleton and discussed basketball. Harking back to memories of last season, JJ Reddick asked something along the lines of, “What’s it like when you’re in a playoffs series and another player on the opposing team is playing out of his mind?”
Khris did not hold back and answered Reddick’s question in the most candid way possible. He acknowledged the problems that the Bucks faced and said, “That wasn’t the gameplan… We wanted to go with Jrue because we have a lot of trust in Jrue.”
Jrue Holiday was one of the best perimeter defenders in the league that season, and the Bucks put a lot of faith in him. But that backfired when faced with someone like Butler. This, in turn, left a mark on everyone who was there on the court playing for the Milwaukee Bucks.
With a new season approaching. It is just a matter of time before we will see how Khris would fare. Till then, fans and officials have to wait and see. Keep following our page for more sports-related content.
