Revved-up engines are not the only things that make the loudest roars in the NASCAR community. Multi-million dollar deals and strategic partnering of teams make ripples as well.
A few weeks ago, one such deal was the Anheuser-Busch with Trackhouse Racing. And now, NASCAR has confirmed another such deal.
Recently, sources confirmed that Jared Allen and Denny Hamlin sat down to discuss an impressive $805 million deal. The deal was between CW Network and NASCAR to discuss the exclusive broadcasting rights of the Xfinity Series.
During this span, viewers would be able to see all 33 races that are related to Xfinity racing events.
However, Amazon’s involvement could greatly influence certain aspects of this huge deal.
Denny Hamlin And Dennis Miller Are All Set For A New Chapter:
As soon as the news of the deal broke out, Denny Hamlin provided credible insight into the whole deal.
In a podcast, Hamlin revealed, “The information I gathered from the sources I have is like. It’s… what it was was $75 million-ish, and then you go to $115 million. What’s not included though in that $115 million is that NASCAR is going to produce the Xfinity series”.
Hamlin further added, “They won’t be traveling a whole lot of people, and NASCAR will then charge back whatever the production cost is to them, to produce this to CW…So, they’re setting themselves up to be all-inclusive. Hey you, wanna bid on our sport? We can help produce the sport, you don’t have to put that cost in. I guess the only thing to discuss really is what is the production cost.”
Moreover, CW’s president, Dennis Miller, spoke about the deal. He said, “Landing the NASCAR Xfinity Series is a game-changer for The CW and our CW Sports division. And it represents another important building block in our programming strategy”.
Therefore, it seems that the deal is well underway, and both the organizations involved are forming their strategies in order to make the deal successful.
