Nobody played the silent sigma better than Cleveland Brown’s TE David Njoku. Followed by a harrowing accident involving a fire pit at his home, David Njoku finally revealed his face. And it is not at all pretty.
But that did not stop Njoku from showing up for his duty just 48 hours after the injury.
The NFL community widely applauded this gesture and called him one of the realest in the game. But what caught fans’ attention more was how Njoku showed up for the game.
He walked in wearing an off-white mask covering his face. Also, he paired the mask with a similar colored furry jacket, chunky earphones, and donning a bare chest.
The entry was nothing less than amazing and anime-like. The menacing look of the athlete quickly became a hot topic for the NFL community.
Videos of Njoku walking to the game quickly went viral. Suddenly, it became one of the biggest events on the internet this year.
The Recovery
Two weeks later, Njoku shared a bunch of photos on his instagram handle to update his fans and loved ones about the injury.
The photos are captioned ‘Legacy’ and show Njoku’s recovery process. One of the photos also had a caption saying, ‘BE SORRY FOR A WEAK MAN, DON’T BE SORRY FOR ME.’
Njoku also shared another message on his business page, MILLIONS.co, saying, “I want to use my platform to help bring awareness to an all too common issue and shed some positive light on an otherwise unfortunate incident… With that said, I’m proud to launch the new Njoku ‘Withstand’ merch line, supporting burn care, prevention, and research. 🙏 Every purchase of Withstand on my MILLIONS.co profile will have a share of proceeds donated to help the American Burn Association. Let’s make a difference together!”
While some fans are calling it an amazing business venture, others are applauding the young athlete for the way he is handling things at the moment.
