Warner And Pandey Lay The Perfect Foundation For SRH And Williamson Finishes With A Flurry
David Warner looked like a captain who was on a mission to resurrect his team’s dwindling fortunes. At the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi, Warner chose to bat after winning the toss. However, the toss winning did not look like it would go well for SRH as they lost Bairstow early on. Dhoni’s new magician, Sam Curran is slowly becoming the dependable go-toman for CSK, both with the bat as well as the ball.
Manish Pandey’s comeback into the team was looked upon as something that would change things within SRH. Pandey made an immediate impact and showed why he was considered one of India’s greatest unrequited talents. Together with Warner, Pandey stitched together a great partnership.
One thing that was obvious was that the SRH batsmen never really looked like breaking away. The CSK bowling always seemed to have things under control. Warner looked like he did not want to get out. This made sure that he was eating a lot of the balls. Chahar and Curran were able to put up the stops restricting the SRH batsmen.
Warner got out after scoring a fifty and was dismissed by Ngidi. He scored 57 runs off 55 balls. His innings consisted of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Pandey got going and scored a well-made 61 runs. His innings studded with 5 fours and 1 six.
It was Kane Williamson and Kedar Jadhav that gave SRH a flurry towards the end of the innings. Williamson was at his destructive best scoring 26 runs off just 10 balls. His innings included 4 fours and 1 six. Jadhav scored a quickfire 14 off 4 balls with 1 four and 1 six.
If SRH had started accelerating earlier, a score of 200 would not have been out of the equation.
The Brilliant Chase By Chennai Super Kings Led By Gaikwad And du Plessis
Gaikwad and du Plessis got the CSK innings off to a brilliant start. Gaikwad has really come into his own in the last few matches of the tournament. CSK’s success in this VIVO IPL 2021 can be largely attributed to the show that the openers have been putting up.
Gaikwad scoring one of the best innings that you will ever see. A brilliant display of stroke-making. The CSK opener smashing 75 runs off just 44 balls with 12 great boundaries. Du Plessis on the other hand played his part as an anchor of the CSK innings.

Du Plessis scoring a well-crafted and responsible 56 runs off 38 runs with 6 fours and 1 six. CSK decimated the 171 runs that were put up by SRH with complete ease. Moeen Ali came into batting and looked like he would finish the match in one over itself. The left-hander got out hitting one too many for 15. His innings included 3 fours.
CSK showing signs of being the champion team of yesteryears. They have finally found the perfect combination of players, all-rounders, bowlers, and batsmen. CSK chased down the target with 9 balls left. CSK signing off with a 7-wicket victory over a hapless SRH team.
