The Suspension & Bad News
The first player who is facing the Saudi League officials’ wrath is Sultan Al-Ghannam. Ghannam is currently facing a four-match suspension following an incident during the Al Nassr vs Abha game.
Following the incident, Sultan is currently facing a four-game suspension. Two Roshn Saudi League against Damac and Al Feiha, respectively. An AFC Champions League game against Al Duhail, and finally, a King’s Cup match against Al Ettifaq.
The second player who is facing suspension is midfielder Abdulaziz Al-Eliwa. Unlike Sultan, Eliwa is just facing a two-game suspension.
The suspension was initiated after disgraceful behavior in a youth game against Ohod. Subsequently, the 19-year-old footballer is also facing a 10,000 riyal fine.
With CR7 gone and two key players suspended, things can get hairy for Al Nassr, as there is still a long season ahead. Fans, as well as officials, are very concerned for the team because the team is facing major losses in the form of players.
