Tragedy can strike us anytime, and in an instant, your life can crumble in front of you. That is the grim reality that Tennessee Titans‘ cornerback Caleb Farley is facing at the moment.
Caleb Farley is not only facing the loss of a loved one but also a grave loss of property that can prove a turning point in the young cornerback’s life.
Caleb Farley recently signed a four-year rookie contract worth around $13.495 million. Subsequently, the 24-year-old also invested a substantial sum of around $2 million in a residence that is located in Mooresville, North Carolina.
However, little did he know what the future had in store for him. According to media reports, a devastating explosion stuck Caleb Farley’s residence in Mooresville, North Carolina.
In fact, sources also suggest that at least one person died in that explosion. Dov Kleiman, an NFL reporter, reported that “A person has died at the $2 million house of #Titans CB Caleb Farley after the house exploded.” He further added, “Farley was at the scene with family, talking with authorities.”
More On The Tragedy:
Authorities and media snippets confirmed that the person who lost his life in this tragic incident is Robert Farley, Caleb Farley’s father. Farley bought the residence exclusively for his father.
However, on Monday at around midnight, on Barber Loop Road near Old Arborway Road, an explosion rocked the block, and the Farley house exploded. The explosion injured a family friend named Christian Rogers.
Christian was immediately taken to the hospital. Subsequently, at around 4:30 am, Robert Farley’s dead body was recovered from the debris.
As of now, authorities have not been able to determine the cause of the explosion. Since authorities found a strong odor of gas in the vicinity, some believe that it was a natural gas leak.
However, authorities have yet to find any credible answer to their question. For more sports-related content, keep following our page.
