Some of the most famous names of the league include Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Bob Cousy, and John Havlicek. The Greens have proven to be synonymous with success and winning. However, those days are behind them, and they have failed to put up a good show.
Back in the 80s, the Celtics were a force to reckon with. Fans of the Celtics were always assured that their favorite team would never be on the losing side. But it has been 15 years since the Celtics won a single championship. The last was in 2008, with the help of the Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen trio.
Will They Win?
Since 2008, Celtics have gone from being a formidable force to a perennial title contender. In the last 15 years, Celtics fans have always been left disappointed due to the underperformance of their favorite team. However, back in 2022, the team made its first final appearance in 15 years.
With another new season of the NBA, the Celtics are again seen as one of the prime contenders for the championship. This season seems exceptionally hopeful as the Celtics have a formidable duo in the form of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Even though their individual talent seems exceptional, they failed to create magic when combined.
Both players are seen as two of the breakout stars for the Boston front. Both the players are quite experienced in playing for the playoffs. However, these players have not been producing results for the team. Still, they are assets that need to be used efficiently.
