Ronaldo is an amazing player, but a lot of people accused him of being more of an individual player than a team player. Maybe this is why the coach specifically asked Ronaldo to be more of a team player.
Needs To Be A Team Player More?
The Portuguese national team might have entered this team to keep their players fresh and consolidate tactics. Still, the coach has urged Christiano Ronaldo to be a team player. The coach believes that Rinaldo is somebody who has developed a penchant for breaking and setting records. As a result, his ambition might sometimes come and interfere with his team goals.

When coach Roberto Martinez was asked if his goal is to make Ronaldo the primary scorer, Martinez replied, ‘No. We want to strengthen the relationship between the players and the experience and patterns of play in tomorrow’s match. Clarifying attack patterns is important, and we need Cristiano as a team. The individual numbers come from the team. If we perform as a team, the individual numbers will come. But that is not our goal.”
