Regardless of the antics, Connor ‘Notorious’ McGregor has one of the most illustrious careers in the UFC.
From asking ‘60 Gs baby” to fighting the multi-million dollar fight with Floyd Mayweather, the Notorious has been riding the UFC waves for a while now. As a result, even an individual who is not a fan of the sport would know McGregor by face.
And now, in a recent turn of events, McGregor took to his X handle to pitch an all-new idea with a tinge of humor. Amidst his supposedly return to UFC with UFC 296, Notorious floated the idea of a new WWE character based on him.
Interestingly, what intrigued fans is that McGregor took his inspiration from the legendary WWE personality, Vince McMahon.
Even though the idea is not half-bad, McGregor later deleted the post. In the post, Notorious detailed the origin of his WWE character and his strengths.
In fact, fans clearly saw the parallels McGregor drew and how they share remarkable points of coincidences with McMahon and McGregor himself.
Is McGregor Making His WWE Debut?
In the online post, which is now deleted, McGregor wrote, “My WWE character. The babyface boss, Ron McMahon. I specialize in ambush, and power control. Abandoned by the family in Ireland but made my own fortune brewing alcohol. And now I’m back. And boy, am I pissed“.
While some fans are dismissing this as just another McGregor antics. While others believed that maybe this was a not-so-subtle way of announcing his debut in WWE.
And with McGregor deleting the post later on, it smells suspicious even more. As of now, there is no official confirmation from WWE.
But given McGregor’s history, the debut does not sound like a bad idea. It would certainly suit the fighter’s personality and career.
