The Ryder Cup’s team has been finalized, and the golf community is going all cray discussing it. However, this led to the overshadowing of the American Solheim Cup crew.
Everybody in the golf community seems to be more concerned about some unexpected picks by Zach Johnson, so much so that many people tend to overlook the Solheim Cup roster that was released alongside the Ryder Cup.
For the first time in a while, American golfers are aiming to conquer the Spanish greens ever since 1993. Male and female golfers are aiming to dominate the Spanish golfing event that will take place this year.
Meanwhile, in a move to pay homage to various LPGA stars who showed resilience and skills on various greens across the globe.
The league took to social media to announce the names of the golfers who will take part in the upcoming event. However, the move was not enough to impress the golfing community globally.
The Outcry
In an effort to jazz things up, the LPGA social media handle released the names of the players in the roster in the form of sketches that aimed to capture the likeness of the players. But fans were not at all happy with this promotional move.
Fans were quick to comment on the sketches, with some calling it downright ‘horrible.’
Some of the comments included, “Looks nothing like them” or, “Oh no, please use real pictures instead.” Others took a hilarious jibe at the post, saying, “Great org and great players but problematic post” and “Sorry, but did yall get the trial version of the app because this ain’t it.”
Keeping the jokes aside, even though fans are taking a jibe against the organization’s choice of promotional strategies.
Most of the fans unanimously agreed that the choice of players was amazing and potent enough to produce results.
